  • The city of Zurich: A global center for banking and finance, lies at the north end of Lake Zurich in northern Switzerland. The picturesque lanes of the central Altstadt (Old Town), on either side of the Limmat River, reflect its pre-medieval history. Waterfront promenades like the Limmatquai follow the river toward the 17th-century Rathaus (town hall).
  • Lucerne: A compact city in Switzerland known for its preserved medieval architecture, sits amid snowcapped mountains on Lake Lucerne. Its colorful Altstadt (Old Town) is bordered on the north by 870m Museggmauer (Musegg Wall), a 14-century rampart. The covered Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), built in 1333, links the Aldstadt to the Reuss River's right bank.

  • Excursion to Mt Titlis: Ride the world’s first revolving cable car, the TITLIS ROTAIR gondola, to the summit Station, enjoying panoramic views of the Swiss Alps along the way. Also enjoy the Ice Flyer chairlift – which covers the distance from the mountain station to the snow park, gliding above snowfields and icy crevasses that can measure up to 33 feet (ten meters) deep. 
  • Lake Lucerne Cruise: A 60-minute cruise pass through the hillsides and verdant meadows nestled against looming mountain peaks.

LUCERNE - LAKE TITISEE - BLACK FOREST - LUCERNE (166 MILES / 4 HRS)

  • Visit ‘Drubba,’ the home of the world-famous cuckoo clock.

  • The Black Forest: A sizeable forested mountain range in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany. It bounded by the Rhine valley to the west and south. Its highest peak is the Feldberg with an elevation of 1,493 meters (4,898 ft). The region is roughly oblong in shape with a length of 160 km (99 mi) and breadth of up to 50 km (31 mi).
  • The Titisee: A lake in the southern Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg. It covers an area of 1.3 km2 (320 acres) and is an average of 20 m (66 ft) deep. 
  • Cuckoo clock: A a typically pendulum-regulated clock that strikes the hours with a sound like a common cuckoo's call and has an automated cuckoo bird that moves with each note. Some run their wings and open/close their beaks while leaning forward, whereas, in others, only the bird's body leans forward. The mechanism to produce the cuckoo call has been in use since the middle of the 18th century and has remained almost without variation until the present.

  • Interlaken: A traditional resort town in the mountainous Bernese Oberland region of central Switzerland. Built on a narrow stretch of valley, between the emerald-colored waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, it has old timber houses and parkland on either side of the Aare River. Its surrounding mountains, with dense forests, alpine meadows, and glaciers, has numerous hiking and skiing trails.
  • Harder Kulm Panorama Restaurant: Proceed to Harder Kulm in a cable car and enjoy a dinner at Harder Kulm Panorama Restaurant. It boasts a combination of a fantastic view, delicious food, and excellent accessibility. The restaurant has extended with an atmospheric garden pavilion; another dimension has been added: the light of the green painted Gemmenalphorn in the north. The panoramas here are picturesque as well. The new building had a capacity of 130 seats and equipped with the latest presentation technology. The venues provide the perfect base for meetings, seminars, and events with a unique view. 

 

DAY 06

INTERLAKEN - MT. JUNGFRAUJOCH

  • Mt. Jungfraujoch: Top of Europe. Take the cogwheel mountain railway to the Top, an alpine attraction with viewing platforms, restaurants, and a Lindt Swiss chocolate shop.

INTERLAKEN - BERN - INTERLAKEN (72 MILES / 1 HR 40 MIN)

  • Highlights of the day: Bern Orientation Tour, Visit Cheese factory, Chocolate Factory and Rose Garden

  • Bern: The capital city of Switzerland, is built around a crook in the Aare River. It traces its origins back to the 12th century, with medieval architecture preserved in the Altstadt (Old Town). The Swiss Parliament and diplomats meet in the Neo-Renaissance Bundeshaus (Federal Palace). The Französische Kirche (French Church) and the nearby medieval tower is known as the Zytglogge both date to the 13th century.

INTERLAKEN - ZERMATT - INTERLAKEN (138 MILES / 4 HR 40 MIN)

  • Highlights of the day: Excursion to Matterhorn

  • Proceed to Zermatt
  • Excursion to Matterhorn
  • Lunch at restaurant
  • Back to Interlaken
  • Dinner and overnight at hotel.
  • Excursion to Matterhorn: Proceed to Zermatt. Board the cogwheel railway to mount Gornergrat. During the 35-minute ride, climb up to 10,285 feet (3,135 meters) above sea level. See the hut of Monte Rosa and the view of Mount Matterhorn. Back to Zermatt. Visit the local museum which provides an impression of mountain climbing and the first ascent of the Matterhorn summit.
