  • Beijing: China’s massive capital, has a history stretching back 3 millennia. Yet it’s known as much for its modern architecture as its ancient sites such as the grand Forbidden City complex, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Nearby, the massive Tiananmen Square pedestrian plaza is the site of Mao Zedong’s mausoleum and the National Museum of China, displaying a vast collection of cultural relics.

  • Tiananmen Square: A city square in the centre of Beijing, named after the Tiananmen ("Gate of Heavenly Peace") located to its north, separating it from the Forbidden City. The square contains the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, and the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong.
  • The Forbidden City: A palace complex in central Beijing, China. The former Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty (the years 1420 to 1912), it now houses the Palace Museum. The Forbidden City served as the home of emperors and their households as well as the ceremonial and political center of the Chinese government for almost 500 years.
  • The Summer Palace: A vast ensemble of lakes, gardens, and palaces in Beijing. It was an imperial garden in Qing Dynasty. Mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, it covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometers (1.1 sq mi), three-quarters of which is water.
  • Birds' Nest and Water Cube: These are the new landmarks of Beijing since the successful Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and those are situated opposite each other at the Olympic Park. While the architecture is impressive during the day it really looks fantastic when lit up at night.

  • Longdi Jade shop: Jade is a stone highly prized by the Chinese. Its use in ornaments, ritual objects, and ceremonial weapons can be traced back to 5,000 BC. In ancient times jade was a material associated with royalty and people of high status.
  • Badaling: The site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of urban Beijing city in Yanqing District, which is within the Beijing municipality.
  • The Temple of Heaven: An imperial complex of religious buildings situated in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The complex was visited by the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer to Heaven for good harvest.

  • Xi’an: A large city and capital of Shaanxi Province in central China. Once known as Chang’an (Eternal Peace), it marks the Silk Road’s eastern end and was home to the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang dynasties ruling houses.
  • Shaanxi History Museum: Which is located to the northwest of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda in the ancient city Xi'an, in the Shaanxi province of China, is one of the first huge state museums with modern facilities in China and one of the largest.
  • City Wall: A massive — tall, long and thick. It is dividing the city into the inner part and the outer part. The South Gate and North Gate are the two main entrances to the inner city. 
  • The Tang Dynasty Show: Also known as "Music & Dance Dinner Show in Xian" is the pride of the city. Hosted at the "Tang Dynasty Palace", which is a leading entertainment theatre & dinner restaurant in China. This legendary venue offers visitors a unique opportunity to indulge themselves in exotic Chinese entertainment and Cantonese delicacies.

 

DAY 06

XIAN - GUILIN (2 HR FLIGHT)

  • Terracotta Army: A collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China.
  • Guilin: A city in southern China known for its dramatic landscape of limestone karst hills. At its center are 2 lakes, Shanhu (Cedar) and Ronghu (Banyan), remaining from a medieval-era moat that once surrounded the city.

 

DAY 07

GUILIN - LI RIVER CRUISE TO YANGSHOU

  • The Li River cruise:  Enjoy an upstream cruise on the Li River and absorb the beauty and scenery surrounding it. Lunch will be provided on the cruise. Disembark at Yangshuo, where you will have a chance to visit a local family. The relaxing pace of life, friendly people, good food, scenic beauty, rice fields, clear streams and country roads for cycling make it a paradise for those who wish to get a rest from the harsher aspects of life in the big cities.
  • Yangshuo: A county and resort town and known for its dramatic karst mountain landscape and outdoor recreation. The town is set amid pinnacles like Bilian Feng (Green Lotus Peak), which has a hiking trail to the top. Tour boats offer cruises on the Li River past picturesque countryside from the town of Guilin to the north.

  • The Reed Flute Cave: Also known as "the Palace of Natural Arts” - a landmark and tourist attraction in Guilin. It is a natural limestone cave with multicolored lighting and has been one of Guilin’s most interesting attractions for over 1200 years. It is over 180 million years old.
  • Seven Star Park is located in Qixing district. The park itself encompasses 7 hills, hence its name.
  • Shanghai: One of the four municipalities under the direct administration of the central government of China, the largest city in China by population, and the second most populous city proper in the world, with a population of more than 24 million as of 2017. It is a global financial centre and transport hub, with the world's busiest container port. Located in the Yangtze River Delta, it sits on the south edge of the estuary of the Yangtze in the middle portion of the East China coast.
  • Suzhou: A major city located in southeastern Jiangsu Province of East China, about 100 km (62 mi) northwest of Shanghai. It is a major economic center and focal point of trade and commerce, and the second largest city in the province, after its capital Nanjing.

  • The Master of the Nets Garden: It is among the finest gardens in China. It is recognized with other classical Suzhou gardens as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The garden demonstrates Chinese garden designers' adept skills for synthesizing art, nature, and architecture to create unique metaphysical masterpieces.
  • Cruise on the Grand Canal: Enjoy a full view of the landscape of a typical river town in southern China including age-old dwelling houses, stone bridges of traditional designs and historical relics.
  • Silk Factory: Suzhou is also famous for its silk, visit the No.1 silk factory where you can see how the silk is processed from the silk worm to the final woven cloth.

  • The Shanghai Museum: A museum of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's square in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, China. Rebuilt at its current location in 1996, it is considered one of China's first world-class modern museums.
  • People's Square: A large public square in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, China. It is south of Nanjing Road and north of Huaihai Road.
  • Nanjing Road: Main shopping street of Shanghai, China, and is one of the world's busiest shopping streets. The street is named after the city of Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu neighbouring Shanghai.
  • Yuyuan Garden: An extensive Chinese garden located beside the City God Temple in the northeast of the Old City of Shanghai, China. It abuts the Yuyuan Tourist Mart and is accessible from the Shanghai Metro's Line 10 Yuyuan Garden Station.
  • The Bund: A waterfront area in central Shanghai. The area along the river faces the modern skyscrapers of Lujiazui in the Pudong District. The Bund usually refers to the buildings and wharves on this section of the road, as well as some adjacent areas.
  • The Shanghai World Financial Center: A supertall skyscraper located in the Pudong district of Shanghai. It was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by the Mori Building Company, with Leslie E. Robertson Associates as its structural engineer and China State Construction Engineering Corp and Shanghai Construction (Group) General Co. as its main contractor. It is a mixed-use skyscraper, consisting of offices, hotels, conference rooms, observation decks, and ground-floor shopping malls.
